How your address can affect your insurance rates:

Middle Tennessee is one of the fastest growing areas in the US, with an average of 100 people moving here each day. In this rapidly growing environment, it's no surprise that people are often confused by rate changes on their insurance policies.

The growing numbers particularly affect the auto insurance rates on new, in-bound residents, as well as current residents. There are many contributing factors, but the most influential one is the increased probability of an accident due to the increased number of drivers on the road. Other factors, as outlined by Forbes earlier this month, include the percentage of uninsured motorists, crime rates and the frequency of inclement weather, among other things.

Still, it is nice to see that according to the same Forbes article, Tennessee rounds out the list of Top Ten States (at #10) where drivers will have the lowest average auto rates in 2021. Just one more reason to love this Volunteer State!
